William Angliss Institute was established in 1940 and is Australia’s largest and oldest specialist government-funded TAFE.
William Angliss Institute is a dedicated training provider for the foods, tourism and hospitality industries, delivering a range of courses from four-year degrees, Australian Accredited Apprenticeships to short courses. It is located in the central business district of Melbourne and enrols around 17,000 Australian students and 1300 international students annually. Courses are available at the certificate, diploma, advanced diploma and bachelor degree level with global study opportunities

With the food and hospitality industries in particular, experience is invaluable. The institute has industry standard training facilities including:
• Over 100 classrooms and 4 lecture theatres spread over six buildings

• TV and audio equipment fixed in many classrooms or supplied as required
• 12 training kitchens and 4 training bakeries
• 3 training restaurants open to the public with seating for 250 people
• 3 accommodation training units
• Coffee Academy and Wine Sensory Evaluation Centre
